Cheers to a Remarkable Year: Ladies Night Out 2025

On October 7th, the warm glow of Sips on Main Street provided the perfect backdrop for our annual Ladies Night Out. It wasn’t just a dinner; it was a celebration of a milestone year and the incredible women who make this club a force to be reckoned with.

Thirty members gathered for an evening of laughter and delicious food, reflecting on a season of grit, growth, and community. A massive thank you to Estella for organizing such a magical and unforgettable evening!

Highlights and Heroes: 2025 in Review

Our club didn’t just meet expectations this year—we shattered them across governance, events, and community impact.

  • Supporting The West Elk Challenge:  When “darkness, cold, lightning, thunder, rain, hail, and non-stop wind” hit, our members didn’t flinch. Every single volunteer showed up. As Pamela put it: “You all rock and are killing the stereotype of ‘old ladies.'” High fives to Cynthia and Pamela for leading the charge.
  • Non-Profit Status Achieved: It only took 20 years of talk, but we finally did it! We are officially a 501(c)(7) Non-Profit. This administrative mountain was conquered by CJ, with vital assistance from Louise.
  • Island In The Sky: Our premier fundraiser brought together 56 competitors and over 50 volunteers. A huge round of applause for the organizing committee: CJ, Pamela, Estella, Linda, Brandy, Holly, and Juleen.
  • Rides & Parades: We hit the trails for 12 successful club rides (with more to come!) thanks to our Ride Committee. We also showed our colors at the Crawford Pioneer Day and Cherry Days parades:
  • Regional Impact: Our efforts to educate multi-use trail users have solidified our reputation as a premier resource throughout Delta and Mesa Counties.

Special Recognition: The 2025 Award Winners

While every member contributes to our success, two individuals truly went above and beyond this year.

The Inaugural “Stick-to-itiveness” Award: CJ Simmers

This new award was created to honor unwavering dedication. CJ spent countless hours navigating the labyrinth of IRS forms to secure our non-profit status. Without her sheer will and expertise, this 20-year goal would still be just a dream.

Most Valuable Volunteer (MVV) 2025: Pamela Hassinger

The MVV recognizes the absolute highest level of participation. While we celebrate the incredible contributions of Estella (545 points), Sky (650 points), and Maggie (715 points), one name rose to the top.

Pamela Hassinger is our 2025 MVV. Between serving as Club Secretary (logging 60+ hours just on minutes!) and her leadership on the Clinic and Island in the Sky committees, Pamela’s compassionate counsel and “common-sense” approach were the glue that held us together through every hurdle.

“We couldn’t have done it without you, Pamela!”
